This Saturday, I went on an adventure with my sister and a few of her friends in SOHO and the Lower East Side. Included are some pictures and descriptions. Exploring NYC is so much fun and I’m glad that’s it’s part of my happy and healthy adventure that I’ve recently embarked upon.
The Cooper Hewitt is a Smithsonian Design Museum with the current exhibit being “The Jazz Age.” All types of art from this time period are displayed-furniture, prints, artifacts, etc. What’s also neat about this museum is that it’s interactive. They give you an electronic pen where you can save pictures of items you like in the exhibit and retrieve them at home later, and drawing tables where you can design your own furniture. Here’s just a few pictures I took; you can learn more by going to their website. www.cooperhewitt.org
Chill House is a coffee shop combined with a nail salon, and it’s very hipster. The coffee is great and it has a chill vibe (if the name didn’t reflect that already). I need to go back to try some of their more exotic drinks, like the Golden Latte (made with gold turmeric).
An Italian restaurant with a modern vibe, my sister and her friends had dined here before and raved about it. I had the gnocchi (my personal favorite pasta) served with a brown butter garlic sauce with roasted butternut squash, asparagus, and peas.
Our last stop on our adventure was Mr. Purple, a rooftop bar with a beautiful pool. We had to wait about 30 minutes, but it was worth it. The drinks were good and the view was even better.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post and embark on an adventure within your happy and healthy adventure! 🙂 ❤
