YAB: Chapter 26

Chapter 26: “Doing Vs. Spewing”

This chapter is all about actually TAKING ACTION instead of just talking about taking action. They’re two VERY different things, but I know everyone is guilty of just talking about doing something instead of just going out and DOING it (me included!).

Here are my favorite quotes from the chapter:

“People who are successful are not only willing to get uncomfortable, but they know they have to make a habit of it if they want to stay successful. They keep moving through each new challenge instead of stagnating and settling” (231).

Be OKAY with being vulnerable and making mistakes, and stepping outside of your comfort zone because this is how you’ll strike success. Develop good habits and practice them daily. Take on challenges, they will help you to grow and reach your goals.

“Keep moving, keep growing, keep pushing through obstacles, keep evolving” (231).

Just keep on keeping on.

“Obstacles and challenges are the agents of growth” (232).

Think about it: if life was easy, would it be at all interesting? If life were perfect, would it be enthralling? Answer: NO. It would be boring and wouldn’t allow us to grow and develop. So accept that obstacles that will be thrown your way and that you’ll be met with challenges; they will help you to grow into the best version of yourself that you can be.

“You just have to decide to make it happen, to be engaged with your life and let the Universe work for you” (235).

Take action, make the most out of your life, and have faith.

“Whatever you have to do, start developing successful habits if you want to become a successful person” (236).

If you have no routines or good rituals, it’s going to be hard to find success. So develop some and get to living an awesome life!

“Who you surround yourself with greatly affects how you see your world and how high you set the bar for yourself” (238).

Be with and spend time with people that allow you to better yourself and strive for your best you.

I hope you enjoyed these quotes and my thoughts on them; consider reflecting on them during your happy and healthy adventure. 🙂 ❤
