You Are A Badass: Intro and Chapter 1

Since I’ve finished I AM THAT GIRL and wanted to read another personal development book (because you can’t read too many!), I decided to buy You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero. I recommend incorporating some sort of personal development into your life every single day so you can develop on your happy and healthy adventure. 🙂 ❤

Here are some of the quotes I liked from the Introduction and Chapter 1:

“This (becoming a badass) is about getting mighty clear about what makes you happy and what makes you feel the most alive, and then creating it instead of pretending you can’t have it. Or that you don’t deserve it” (11).

“You need to go from wanting to change your life to deciding to change your life” (11).

“My journey was a process (and still is) that started with my decision to make some serious changes, regardless of what I had to do to make them” (13).

“If you want to live a life you’ve never lived, you have to do things you’ve never done” (15).

There’s an Autumn Calabrese (21 day fix trainer) quote that reads similar to this one: “If you want something in your life that you’ve never had, you’ll have to do something that you’ve never done.” I like both of these quotes; Autumn’s is more geared to health and fitness regimens, while Jen’s is broader. Both of these quotes are great to keep in mind if you want something to change.

“We need kickass people to be out of struggle and living large and on purpose so they can be an inspiration to others who want to rise up, too” (16).

“The first key to ridding yourself of limiting subconscious beliefs is to become aware of them” (25).
